Signing Day is here!

For the Hokies this could be a huge day, they have the potential to sign a top ten class in the nation, and many say this recruiting class is all ready a top five in  Hokie history. Early returns are good, no real surprises, looks like we missed out on Koren Kirven, a 4star recruit out of Lynchburg. He would have been one of the recruits to put this class over the top but ended up choosing Alabama. The Hokies have two big ones left on the board in Joel Caleb and Ken Ekanem, they commit at 8:30 and 9 respectively. I will probably give a little update when they commit and then at the end of the day I will try to give you a complete recap. Either way I think today is a great day to be a Hokie and fingers crossed we get some game changers so we can make some noise next year. Talk to you soon.

Joel Caleb is in! Ken Ekanem is next to commit at 9, hopefully there won't be any surprises in terms of kids changing their minds. One we might have to worry about is Jawand Blue, who some have said will go to Miami if a scholarship opens up, hope he stays with us but we should know about 10am. Update after Ekanem commits and I'll let you know how many we have signed up to that point.

Alright the big news is Ken Ekanem is a Hokie, you can find the video of his commitment on washingtonpost.com or youtube shortly. Total they have received 15 commits with hopefully 16 more on the way. A couple recruits are wavering but we we will know soon where they will be headed. Here is a list of the commits that came in this morning later on I will try to give some details on each. JC Coleman, Donaldven Manning, Drew Harris, Alston Smith (Bruce Smith's son), Adam Taraschke,Augie Conte, Derwoun Greene, Seth Dooley, Donovan Riley, Chris Mangus, Jerome Wright, Ken Ekanem, Thomas Smith, Desmond Frye, and Joel Caleb. Congrats to all the new Hokies, more details later.
